Videomakers WA

We are a group of people interested in making videos, using digital video and computer editing. Our prime objective is to help each other keep abreast of ever changing hardware and software, and to assist each other to improve our craft.

We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Meg Olive room at the RAAF Association in Bull Creek Drive, Bull Creek in Western Australia.

The Meg Olive room is part of the administration block, just inside the main entrance on the left. There is ample parking.

We build our program content around monthly themes involving a set of presentations and show and tell items. Both club members and outside speakers usually make contributions. On the third Thursday of each month we conduct workshop sessions.

Unusual Sports Project
One of our current projects is a six-part TV series covering sports unfamiliar to the average TV viewer. The project is designed to help club members improve their video skills by working in a group project and sharing skills and experiences.

So far we have three groups: Team East, Team North and Team South. Each group has chosen a sport, done the pre-production, scripting and planning and have completed a videos each.

Newcomers are very welcome. If you want to improve your skills, this project is the way forward. Come and join a team or form a new one.
